In the mid-1980s Christo married his high school sweetheart Violetta (1959) and they had two beautiful daughters: Neda (1989) and Ellena (1992).
In 1993 they emigrated to Australia and started to build a new life there. They obtained Australian citizenship in the early 2000s.
Newly arrived immigrants face multiple economic, cultural and social challenges—social isolation, in particular—which can put considerable strains on personal relationships and unfortunately can sometimes lead to a relationship breakdown. Christo and Violetta's relationship fatally succumbed to these strains. Their marriage fell apart and in the latter part of the 1990s they got divorced.
A few years later Moskovsky was briefly married to an Australian woman, Michele Tredinnick.
In the typical fashion of second-generation immigrants, Neda and Ellena grew up with an essentially Australian identity. They both can boast outstanding educational achievements. Following degrees in Arts and Neuroscience, Neda completed a combined Honours in neuroscience and philosophy. Then in a major shift she undertook a degree in nutrition.
Ellena meanwhile completed a doctoral program in advanced mathematics.
In retirement Moskovsky plays bridge, writes and translates.
